Envirothon provides an opportunity for five member teams of upper middle school age through primarily high school aged youth to expand their knowledge of environmental issues and complete against other youth in our state. Competition topics include Wildlife, Wetlands, Forestry, Agriculture, Energy, & Special National Topic of the Year; and all teams work on a community outreach project covering a related topic of their choice.
The competition has three levels beginning with the Regional competitions. Our region 4 competition will be held at Fort Custer near Augusta / Battle Creek.
Winners of the regional competitions continue on to our statewide competition.
State competition winners continue on to compete at the national level, which this year is at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, North Carolina from July 28 – August 2, 2019.
