  • Branch County

    Branch County is a county in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 44,862. The county seat is Coldwater. As one of the "cabinet counties" it was named for the U.S. Secretary of the Navy John Branch under President Andrew Jackson. The county was founded in 1829, and was organized in 1833.

    Sam was born in Coldwater, Michigan. With the exception of one year in Florida, he has resided here most of his life. Sam now lives in Quincy with his wife and children. In his free time Sam enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening and woodworking. He is a “country boy” at heart. Sam learned about trees from his father, who was a timber buyer. Sam has always enjoyed the peace and tranquility of being in the forest, and has a deep appreciation for trees. He knows that if used sustainably, trees are a renewable resource with many applications.
